Boxy Vest
Every pattern takes a village of creative people to get it out in the world. I myself have been knitting and crocheting for 20 + years and have taken great pride in my test knits/crochets that I was able to participate in over the years. As a test cocheter I loved engaging with the designer, meeting other crocheters who wanted to talk the crochet lingo and making some really cool items ahead of pattern launch date!
If you are interested in helping with the Will Travel For Wool story, I encourage you to become a test crocheter. Successful applicants will be notified about the upcoming patterns and launch dates, timelines and all the crochet details with a 6 week turn around. You will be asked to share process photos along the way as well as a finished object photo in front of a plain wall that will be shared on WTFW social media. If street style crochet patterns, meeting new crocheters and participating in the crochet community are your thing.... Apply below!

Boxy Vest Details
Your Role as a Pattern Tester

Read through full crochet pattern, purchase required materials, learn required techniques to make the Boxy Vest.

Make a gauge swatch and send photo with measurements.

Join Instagram group, chat about project related issues, message/email designer with specific questions and notify designer of any errors.

Complete the whole pattern by Oct 21 and aim to complete sections within the dates provided.

Take a picture of finished item being worn by a person with correct measurements for the size garment you chose.

No pattern modifications will be accepted for this test crochet.

All test crocheters will be notified by email.
Sept 3 - 8
Gather supplies, including yarn, hooks and notions.
Join instagram group and introduce yourself!
Sept 9
Cast on day!

Front and back sections of vest should be complete
Oct 14
Hood and arm ribbing complete.
Oct 21
Boxy Vest Close Date.
All Vests need to be finished.
Follow up form complete.
Finished photo submitted.
